ESQUEL, ALERCES NATIONAL PARK/RIO PICO AREA
Fishing diversity is the main reason so many anglers come the Esquel, Los Alerces National Park and Rio Pico areas. You’ll find spring creeks, private waters, small and big rivers, still waters and lakes in spectacular settings. We fish with dry flies, wet flies, streamers or nymphs to catch wild rainbows, browns and brookies.
Andes Drifters can organize customized programs in various waters according to your preferences. We can combine many options.
Due to the geography of this area we divide our fishing between two different areas, Esquel and Rio Pico. If you’re looking to fish both areas, we require a minimum of 10 days for the trip:
Esquel area fisheries include Rivadavia River, Futaleufú River, Willymanco Lagoon and Laguna Larga.
Rio Pico area fisheries include Nilson River, Pico River, Las Pampas River, Corcovado River, and five lakes.
